Access to good, safe dental treatment is something many of us take for granted but for many people across the world there is only very limited, if any, available dental care. We regularly support the following charities in an attempt to save more people from the misery and danger of untreated dental disease.

The dental charity making a global difference. Dentaid is an influential UK dental charity which has supported around 260 projects in over 60 countries by supplying refurbished dental surgery equipment, engineer training, school oral health programmes and dental volunteer missions to fulfil its aim – Improving The World’s Oral Health.

Filling The Gap recruits experienced dentists and dental assistants to work in Aboriginal community controlled health services where access to dental treatment is limited or non-existent and where there is much need. Since they began in 2006 more than 230 dental professionals have volunteered their time with Filling The Gap and provided over 10,000 dental appointments covering both emergency relief and comprehensive treatment. Filling the Gap works in partnership with the health services following an invitation to get involved and they develop an arrangement to meet their needs.

The National Dental Foundation is a charitable organisation that facilitates the provision of pro bono dental treatment to those in our society who cannot access timely dental care. The NDF harnesses the support of the wider dental industry to enable dental teams across Australia to be able help those in need. The NDF works closely with many Australian charities to identify those in our communities who will benefit from a positive dental intervention.

Surf Life Saving is Australia's major water safety, drowning prevention and rescue organisation. Surf Life Saving NSW is a not-for-profit organisation which relies on community generosity including donations, fundraising and corporate sponsorship. Surf Life Saving is an inclusive and uniquely Australian movement which offers people young and old, the opportunity to make a difference, make friends and maybe save a life.
