We can fix teeth that are discoloured, crooked, unevenly spaced, too long or too short, or worn down. Here are some popular treatment options:

Tooth Coloured Restorations

Your dentist can restore teeth that have cavities or unsightly fillings with natural-looking composites or use CEREC inlays, onlays or crowns. These materials have been designed to closely mimic natural tooth substance in both appearance and function, giving aesthetically superior results.

Tooth Whitening

Teeth become stained for many reasons - drinking coffee, tea or wine; smoking; and even ageing can discolour teeth. Tooth whitening is a simple treatment that makes discoloured teeth whiter. At Gunyah Dental we offer three whitening treatments and after establishing your exact needs and preferences, we will recommend the whitening treatment that is right for you.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics can be used to straighten teeth and to correct jaw alignment.
Traditional braces were made of metal but nowadays the use of clear or ceramic brackets has made these braces far less noticeable. It is often possible to use a series of clear, almost invisible removable aligners to move your teeth over time. Talk to your dentist about the right choice for you

Crown Lengthening

Sometimes the gums extend onto the front surfaces of the teeth. This can cause a 'gummy' smile or make teeth look small. Crown lengthening is when your dentist removes a small amount of gum tissue and possibly a small amount of supporting bone around the teeth to make them look longer.

Enamel Shaping and Bonding

Your dentist can reshape your teeth by contouring tooth enamel, the outer layer of the tooth. Long teeth can be shortened and the appearance of gappy, mildly overcrowded or uneven teeth can be improved using enamel reshaping and/or dental bonding. Dental bonding is amongst the easiest of dental cosmetic procedures. Tooth coloured composite materials can be skillfully bonded to a tooth to correct a chip, close spaces between teeth, make teeth look longer or change the shape or colour of teeth. Often no anaesthesia is required.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, tooth coloured shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth. They are custom made and can be used to close spaces between your teeth, cover stained, crooked or poorly shaped teeth. Teeth must usually be prepared before veneers are placed. It is often necessary to remove a small amount of your natural tooth to make space for the veneer. Once teeth are prepared, the procedure is permanent. At The Gunyah we can create beautiful CEREC veneers in one visit or may make use of our highly qualified dental technicians.
